Energy Efficient Windows – Saving Money by installing the right type of Windows for my property

Costs and savings – Choosing an energy efficient window

Energy Efficient Windows – We are all hearing in the press about the rising costs of living, inflatation, cost of food and the fact we will all be paying more every month on our gas and electricity bills.   One of the ways we can all definately save money is to make sure we have the right windows installed in our property.

If you install A++ rated double glazed windows the savings may be as much as a couple of hundred pound  a year and 410kg of carbon dioxide.

Choosing the right windows to save money is not always easy to do.  These days with the introduction of the BFRC rating scheme its now much easier to understand and make the right choice

Manufacturers are able to energy efficiency of their windows using a simple energy-rating scale from A++ to E.  The rating scheme takes into account heat loss, draughts and solar gain.

The British Fenestration Rating Council (BFRC) runs the scheme where you can find out more on their website by clicking the link BFRC rating.

Replacing the windows in your property is a real investment, so it’s only natural to have questions about what’s best.

Windows Companies In the Wirral

We’ve been supplying and installing energy effients windows, new and replacements, to customers all over the Wirral for years. In that time, we are able to see first-hand that it’s always an investment worth making.

Installing the right kind of window to suit both your needs and the property improves the comfort and value of a home.

Did You Know? 18% of heat loss occurs through windows. glazing. Heat is lost through single glazing around twice as fast as through standard double glazing.

Choosing the right type of Window

The marketplace for new windows is varied, so there is a lot of choice for customers looking around. What you go for is a question of personal taste, budget, and what you need the window to do in that space.

What is a casement window?

energy-efficient-casement-window-example

A casement is a window that is attached to its frame by one or more hinges at the side. They are used singly or in pairs within a common frame, in which case they are hinged on the outside.

Casement windows are incredibly popular. The actual casement is the part of the window which opens. They can be installed alone, in pairs, or even as a single casement alongside a static window pane.

Side hinged, they are generally easy to open and close, with the weight-distribution being similar to how a door opens.  If energy efficient windows are a priority then these can certianly be added to your wish list

What are turn and tilt windows?

Turn and tilt windows are very versatile. Like the name suggests, once installed a turn and tilt window can be opened and positioned in a number of ways.

This flexibility is incredibly useful for both safety and for comfort. The window can be held in place according to need. For instance, opening your window outwards on a rainy day using a top hinge helps ventilate a room, whilst sheltering you from the worst of the weather.

A Double Glazed sash window or hung sash window is made of one or more movable panels, or “sashes”.

What are sash windows?

Sash windows are a design classic. Rather than opening on hinges, these windows slide up and down to open and close.

Though they were traditionally made of wood, this could warp and make sash windows very difficult to move. The sash windows that we supply and fit are made from uPVC, so they can be used easily, without sticking,

What is the most secure type of window?

High quality double glazing in well-made uPVC window frames are highly secure.

Using uPVC to create the frames means that multiple locking points can be used between the window and the frame. This, alongside excellent double glazing, creates a much more challenging obstacle to anyone wanting to gain access to your home.

What are the most energy efficient windows?

Energy Efficient Windows that will save you the most money in the long run.  The way that modern uPVC windows and frames are manufactured makes them very efficient.

This means that not only are they good at preventing costly heat loss, they’re good sound insulators, too. Your home will be more private, and more comfortable as a result.  Are you looking for cost savings?  If yes then we are happy to recommend UPVC windows for your home

How long does it take to install Energy Effient windows?

This really depends on the complexity of what you need, and how many windows there are to replace. Our installation teams are experts and very experienced, taking pride in our work to deliver high standards. If we need to spend a bit longer to get things absolutely perfect for our clients, then we will.

Perfect Wirral Review

Searching online for Double Glazing Wallasey? – I was looking to get my double glazing replaced by a local company.  I have recently moved to Wallesey near Birkenhead in the Wirral.   Our new house we bought needed new double glazing for all the back and front Windows.  With this being the first time we have bought a house I really didn’t know what to expect.

What is important to us in a Double Glazing Company.

Ringing around to get a few quotes I made sure of paying the right price and not get ripped off (we all read the stories about “Double Glazing Salesmen!”)   They all sounded really good when they came to see me.  But Perfect Wirral really stood out for me.

Perfect Wirrall ticked all the boxes.  They are Fensa approved so I knew I really want this and we also wanted to make sure we chose a double glazing company based in Wallasey which is also really important as if anything went wrong or I thought of any questions then I knew I could call into their showroom.

Double Glazing Wallesey including a New UPVC Door Installation Wallasey - by Perfect Wirral

As part of getting all the double galzing installed in the House in Wallasey, we also had a new UPVC fitted – This is the example image

Perfect Wirral in business for over 15 years as the same company under the same trading name is important to us.  All the time we read about double glazing companies in Wallasey and Birkenhead that go bankrupt and start again as another name. Because of this, we decided to get in touch with them

Having checked the business out properly I was happy that they are a legit windows company.   They also give a 10 Year Guarantee so this made me sure about using them

We are really pleased with their work from start to finish.

From start to finish the team were brilliant and the salesperson was perfect.  What they did was excellent.  Our surveyor came and double checked everything was possible and signed the job off.  Finally, the installations team came and did an amazing job.  They were on time clearing all the building waste afterwoods.   Our Decision – to go for replacement windows and doors across the whole property.  As a result we are now looking at getting a new conservatory as well!

Amazing job – Well done Perfect Wirral – If you search Double Glazing Wallesey in Google or on social media then make sure you choose these guys
